Monday morning thought.

"When you're stuck, those aren't the worst parts, those are the best parts - they're your chance to be creative."

Agreed. Though they may frustrate at the time, when I finally figure how to get past those parts, it's with a burst that leaves me dancing.

Even though I agree with the statement, it's intensely frustrating to hear at a time when I'm stuck like Hans Brinker's finger in a Dutch dike.

It's like all the wonderful, well-meaning older women who come up to you in a restaurant during your three-year-old's complete meltdown over the fact that there was a single piece of parsley garnish on his eggs and say, "It gets better as they get older, and when they do, you'll miss these days."

Well, clearly I've got some pent-up frustration. :-) 35K words into a paranormal romance and H and h have to get from point A to point B to continue the action. Two chapters, tops, but they're just not coming! Creativity, where are you?!

HA! Yeah. That. EXCEPT...it's so hard to see how "wonderful" being stuck is when you're...er...actually stuck. It's only when you're on the other side of the muck that you can feel grateful for the struggle.
