Fun quiz

Are you an introvert, an extrovert, or an ambivert?

Most writers, in my experience, tend to be introverts-- maybe it's easier to glue yourself to the keyboard (or the notepad and pen) if you enjoy alone time-- but one of the complexities of publishing in the modern era is how much publicity and promotion we ask authors to do in service of their book. It's part of the job, but I think it's hard for a lot of people. It would be for me!

What was your quiz result? I am "likely to be an introvert," which is the understatement of the century. What parts of the process are hardest for you?

According to the quiz, I'm "likely to be an extrovert". That's at least as much an understatement as your result. I'm a HUGE extrovert.

If I had to choose a single title for myself, I would pick "storyteller" rather than "writer". I'm just as happy (and often happier) standing up and telling stories, whether fact or fiction, to people on the spot as I am crafting a short story or novel. I love seeing/hearing the way people respond to my ideas, I love talking to people about my writingl, which leads me to love the editing process. And I'm very happy to promote my own (and other people's) work.

As for what parts of the process are the hardest for me, that's easy: the part that involves me sitting in front of a computer by myself, typing out the story that's running through my head. I hate the solitude of writing a first draft.

I'm not sure this is a fairly balanced quiz. I answered yes to most questions, but with reservations and conditions.
I am pretty sure that I'm an ambivert; I teeter back and forth between intro and extro. Most quizzes like this don't pick on on that. It was the meyer-briggs test that really pegged me most, right in the middle, and at the time just on the E side...
